Crocosmia, Montbretia or Firey Parrot

This joy has sprung into life. This is Crocosmia Lucifer. The flowers are about a metre or more tall and glow red- orange like a devil's red hot poker. I asked the name on Facebook and got Crocosmia, but also Montbrentia and wonderfully, a friend suggested 'firey parrot' which is going to stick for me.

Was given a few of these by a client but fear I've not planted them in a deep enough pot, so might need to revisit. Everyone says these things are hardy and spread so let's see if I can get them to take/keep them alive.

Was given some smaller ones by my mother-in-law too. They are looking a bit doubtful but time and attention will tell.
