Black Friday.
Another busy one today.
The morning was spent sheeting the silage pit. As usual when ever this job is on the go the wind started to blow, making the job a bit interesting until we got the tyres onto the back of the sheet to hold it down. Managed to rake up wee brother, a herd , a student, a tractorman plus myself, Littlemiss and Junior and had the job finished by 12.30. So as the saying goes, many hands make light work. And it doesn’t seem that long ago I was chucking tyres off the top of the pit all winter !
Sent Kev and Ross next door to bring back all the wool sheets from the last 2 days shearing.
Have phoned the haulier to come and collect it all , hopefully next week.
This lorry arrived in mid afternoon with 28 tons of fertiliser I ordered last week. One thing is for sure- the load of wool will be no where near enough to pay for the load of fertiliser !
A wet night now so took the dogs for a walk round one of the newly cut silage fields with the family.
