Devil's Beeftub

Today's the day ……………………. for proper Sunday lunch

It's been quite a while since we've driven our favourite route up to Edinburgh - across to Moffat and then northwards over the Devil's Beeftub.

It was all looking good today with a bit of blue in the sky but a chilly wind that didn't encourage you to linger.  It was great to see Ron and Margaret - and a special bonus of niece Lizzy and Alex who were up from London.  We had a proper Sunday lunch with them all and caught up on their news.

We drove back home a different way, via Biggar this time and despite the big Sunday lunch, found ourselves tempted by a bag of chips from the Townhead Fish & Chip shop (see extra).  It's quite a while since we've done that too.  And, once you'd worked your way round the social distancing measures now in place, the chips were delicious ………………...
