Peaking Combine

Out on my walk today - without Finlay as he is still not moving too easily - this combine harvester was starting work on a barley crop. I stood near the end of the field and waited for it to crest the hill.

It wasn’t all plain sailing for them as they kept having to stop to fix / unblock the machine (extra 1).  Added a second extra of it descending the hill leaving behind the trail of straw.

Squirrel update - the birds are beginning to use the new squirrel proof feeders, but ironically I haven't seen the squirrel at all since I ordered the new feeders. A neighbour a couple of doors down has also had problems with it in the last week or so and has taken his feeders down.
