Another day frittered away!

When we were in lock down Ann had resigned herself to the fact that all she did was take me for two walks a day and go shopping for herself & Mrs R once a week. Now that we're supposedly out of lock down she feels that she should be doing more. But actually there's nothing to do. Especially when it rains all day. Grrrr.....................

This morning we got absolutely soaked on my walk. Grrrrr.............. After breakfast I got left 'home alone' while Ann took two big bags of shoes to a charity shop. And got soaked doing it! Our spare room has been full of stuff just waiting to go to the charity shops. She can only manage two bags at a time so there's a few more to go yet but the first charity shop she tried said they weren't opening until 5th August (even though the door was open and there were staff working in there). Not to worry; the charity shop next door took them. There's lots of charity shops in our area.

Then she popped into 'Wilkies' cos she'd spotted a lovely little 'Kippling' bag in the window that she thought would be perfect for holding bits & bobs on my walks. It had 30% off. But, 30% off £54 is still quite a lot of money for a bag that is basically just going to hold a few poo bags & a phone???? Ann said she'd think about it. However the shop assistant was lovely and browsing around the shop was very pleasurable. There's never more than 3 or 4 people in there even during normal times?!

No queues at Waitrose so she popped in for a loaf of bread. Another very pleasurable shopping experience. She hadn't been in there for more than 4 months and it was lovely. Wide isles and speedy checkouts.

A lot bit of trashy TV and I went to the park early afternoon. It was still raining. Grrrrr..............

I got left 'home alone' again while Ann went off to see her friend, Val. Unfortunately I couldn't go with her because Val is allergic to me dogs.

Another walk when Ann got home and guess what?......................... Mr Sunshine is now shining brightly. BUT, no sunshine on our balcony so no outside wine drinking for Ann tonight!!! And nothing worth watching on the TV tonight either??!!

Although my human is going out and about a bit more than she was for the first 3 months of lock down; her life still isn't back to normal. And on days when the weather is bad she is very, very, very, bored.

PS – Weather app is showing that Mr Sunshine is coming out to play tomorrow. Yay!
