Polldubh falls
Not the best nights sleep of some reason in the camper which lead to a late start heading out for our walk today, still we are on holiday so it doesn’t matter. Headed to the Ben Nevis car park for the start of a very nice walk to Polldubh falls along the river. Kilda was very well behaved even with the sheep in the field next to us. Stunning waterfalls at the midway point, which would have been nice to photograph with a tripod instead of handheld. Walk back was via a forest track on the other side of the river which met up with the West Highland Way. Saw a few buzzards on the way back as well. Would have been nice to see them more up close if I had packed the binoculars. Went back to the campsite for a drink and then headed out to see the Old Inverlochy Castle, or that is left of it and then onto Neptune’s Staircase. This is a series of 8 canal locks at the start of the Caledonian Canal. Played another game of 7 wonders dual after dinner in the awning while Kilda went to sleep on our bed in the camper.
