A view of part of Blackburn with Darwen Tower in the far distance . It’s the view from the top of our hill , we live at the bottom. I often try to imagine the landscape before human settlement had its go at sculpting it . A glacier passed by, leaving behind deep deposits of glacial till and boulder clay . I find that an exciting thought .

I spent some time reading, cooking food to take on our trip to see the Chesterlings , walked Miss B , spent a couple of hours sitting chatting to a friend on her doorstep and finally decided on a suitable walk with another friend tomorrow . We are going to walk uphill from Sedbergh and see what happens!
Hopefully there will be a shop open that sells maps .
