Tractors!

This morning, the Minx kindly dropped me near junction 37 on the M6 so that I could run back down to Kirkby Lonsdale. It's a lovely route that starts off by running past Killington Reservoir and mostly consists of small lanes.

I was on the road between Rigmaden and Kearstwick when I saw one of those cars approaching that usually goes ahead of a wide load warning you to slow down and/or pull over. I was completely bemused: what could possibly becoming up this small road?

Well, it turned out to be a couple of dozen tractors of varying sizes, models and ages. I had no choice but to stand on the verge to let them pass, which they all did with their drivers variously giving me grins, the thumbs up, and shrugs. They all looked very happy, though.
