Cast Shadows
Conveniently, the cast shadow of a fallen tree created an interesting shape on the algae surface, which filled the otherwise empty space in the lower right corner of the frame. The dead white branches seem to be the focal point of the image being the lightest element and have the most contrast against the dark background.
I don't suppose it's a terribly interesting photo, but I remind myself the point is to practice, think about the elements and how they relate to one another. Photography has so many moving parts, it's hard to keep them all in mind.
Today was much less hot.
