Muck, Eigg and Rum
The clouds cleared as we stopped for lunch on route for Moidart and the small isles looked closer and clearer than this blip suggests. Chance conversation with a chap from Fort William who lives in a camper van and who informed the best place to see pine marten is outside Tesco very early in the morning. Who knew.
Another delicious hf lunch and then we proceeded to Kinlochmoidart and onwards to Artoe, more stunning scenery and relatively quiet on the roads. Discovered St Filians an episcopalian church originally linked to the big house in Moidart, surprisingly it was open with few signs of COVID precautionary measures, I don’t believe there was even hand sanitiser.
Back to Achshellac where we enjoyed the most amazing scotch eggs which delightful though they were, pretty much filled me up.
The extra blip is the red squirrel we saw earlier in the day.
