Well, that’s a bit of RED there

The Nanking cherries came in thick and very plump this year, which makes herself very very happy. :)

She loves picking and processing the fruit and veg of the garden. She loves canning things and freezing things. She loves making jam and jelly and sauce and other assorted treats.

She DOESN’T love working in the garden. Or weeding or all that stuff.

So if you need it canned or processed or frozen, she’s your gal.

It looks like the Saskatoon berries are similarly plump this year. We are guessing that it’s the amount of rain we’ve had this year so far.

But I’m looking forward to that first hot buttered pancake with cherry sauce poured over it.

Oh baby, yum.
