Where's the water?

Lord, I slept badly last night. My bedroom overlooks the valley and although I was tired when I put off the light to sleep, I was kept awake by strobing lightning and massive rolling balls of thunder that echoed through the hills until around four o'clock.

So when I popped out for a run, this morning, just along the river, I thought it would be carnage: flooding, fallen branches, everything that wasn't locked down all over the shop.

But no.

Despite all the rain, the roads seemed dry and it wasn't until I reached Underley that I had the satisfaction of some evidence that I hadn't dreamt the whole thing!
