Diary of an Edinburgher

Too heavy

As I unpacked the exciting package (hedge trimmer) yesterday, JR quietly suggested that I kept the packaging in case it needed to be returned... fortunately, I heeded her words this time.

I got it out this morning to assemble, with a view to possibly giving it a go. I immediately realised that it was far too heavy and unwieldy for me to ever use. And so I’ve spent the morning ringing up returns and re-packaging it in its original packaging. So it’s the wobbly ladder for a couple more years (JR now does the ladder bit) and then we’ll get a man to do it.

We took a wander over the Links and on to Bruntsfield for a coffee. WRONG! The teenage hooligans schoolchildren are back, and were out in force, yelling and clogging up the pavements. Back to avoiding their lunchtimes when going there.

The day didn’t start off too promising, but got better and better, and it was a lovely afternoon/evening. My blip was almost a photo of my tea tonight - a vege frittata, my speciality. It was an especially good one, and we sat outside to eat it.

Note the patch on the chair - this one, his favourite, does need re-covering. On the ‘To-Do’  list.
