treachery

Tomorrow Karen is going to go and interact with other humans (medical professionals) for the first time since we went into social isolation. We fitted her mask tightly and inserted a filter in it in preparation.

On the bright side, I read an article that trashed the reporting on the study that said neck gaiters are worse than no mask at all and another article about another study that found that, doubled, they block 90% of particles. Thank goodness. They are MUCH more comfortable than regular masks.

I did not order this toy and Karen did not order this toy. It was either a mistake or a nice freebie, probably by the company we ordered new dog food from. Prince Samuel thought it was a wonderful toy even if it doesn't fit in his mouth and is too hard for his teeth to chew on. He loved holding it by the cardboard and running around with me chasing him.

As we went out to walk I asked Karen to get rid of it while we were gone. He then looked at her, picked up the toy by the cardboard, and ran! He did put it down before we left the house, giving Karen and me the most suspicious look he is capable of. We barely went out when he rushed us home to discover his worst fears confirmed.

I clearly underestimated his ability to understand what I was saying.
