Point

Last night I was in Edinburgh to watch Local Natives at the Electric Circus. I stayed in the Point Hotel, which is, to be frank, borderline dreadful.

The fact that it is clean and that the shower was good were certainly in its favour but what I really loved - its absolute saving grace - was the architecture.

The building used to be something to do with the Co-op, so the space is a little awkward for a hotel. Instead of those narrow corridors you find in most hotels, the ones that make you feel like you're in a submarine, there were unconventional areas like the one in today's photo, which I rather liked.

Local Natives were very good, by the way, but the support band, Balthazar, was amazing. What is it with all these European bands at the moment? Anyway, you can hear one of their albums here
