Wet, Wet, Wet

This pigeon looked decidedly fed up sitting on the fence in the rain this morning. I'd already decided to stay in today given the forecast, but ended up getting into the garden for an hour this morning and another this afternoon to start removing a couple of medium sized shrubs as there were fewer wasps around. I removed one rock about 9in x 6x6 which was only just beneath the surface of the soil. I also did more painting of door frames in the hall and had a good catch up on Houseparty with a couple of my sisters. Awful weather, very wet this morning and very windy from about 4 this afternoon with a gust at nearby Weybourne of 57mph.

AstraZeneca has started a new trial on drug AZD7442 which uses a combination of two monoclonal antibodies and is designed to both prevent and treat Covid 19 - up to 48 volunteers in the UK have now been given the first doses. Ofqual chief resigns after the exams chaos. Co-op Bank is to cut 350 jobs and close 18 branches.
