Lockdown Walk
Much better day, so decided to start with our lockdown walk.
I took a photo of this spot back in April, https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2697118077119629135
Then it was the start of Spring. The gorse was a glorious bright yellow, and no leaves on the trees. Remember what beautiful blue sky days we had.
Today it is almost the end of Summer and the beginning of Autumn.
The trees are full of leaf. The gorse is green, and the pink willow herb has almost finished flowering. Soon the tiny seeds will be blowing everywhere.
The rest of the day I spent in the garden. It is really looking backendish.
Lots of deadheading and also cut the leylandii hedge
. It is far too high, even though we did have a few feet cut off a few years ago.
Have decided it must go come Spring next year. Will get a gardener to cut it down. There is a fence at the back of it, so my plan is to plant some climbing roses and clematis. Much easier to manage.
I have tagged this for Wide Wednesday. The theme being Natural World.
Something many people have enjoyed for the first time this year.
Covid - 19 has had a positive side too.
Now have three more bags to take to the tip.
Almost forgot to put an extra photo of what landed on Mr C's sunglasses. He was quite surprised when he took them off.
