Harvest honed

This year’s barley seems barely harvestable so stunted it has been by the chill and lack of sun this summer. Even more unusual for us was the chill in our house from the north wind meant our heating was switched on in August for the first time ever! Very early this morning I headed into a road work blocked city to carry out a volunteer shift.
