Inspired.......

.....by Dons blip pointless signs, but definitely NOT inspired by our local council.

Firstly. About 18 months ago they ruined the road through our village by putting speed humps and chicanes throughout, causing untold damage to vehicles and being completely environmentally unfriendly in the way we all have to slow down and speed up whilst negotiating them.

Secondly. Until a matter of months ago we had a perfectly reasonable system of collecting rubbish - landfill and recyclable. Someone in their wisdom, has changed the system which will mean a less effective system and more rubbish ending up in landfill. Backward move.

And finally. Although the road from the village through to the border with Shropshire has had a very poor surface for the last couple of years, at least 8 of these signs have appeared on that 5 mile stretch of road in the last week.

Pointless, because we all know the surface is appalling and almost as bad as some developing country but also because we all know it is far from temporary.

Although all of these things are relative I suppose.
