Day 2
There's something very nice about waking up to remember that you ran the day before and thus the day ahead can be seen as a rest day. However, if you've committed to running 108 miles in 30 days, that's one of the small pleasures that you have to accept forgoing.
And so sometime just after half-past seven, this morning, I was out getting in another four and a half miles to supplement the six I did, yesterday. To reach the target of 108 miles, I need to average 3.6 per day and I am keen to get some miles in the bank, as it were.
Non-runners won't believe this - why would you? - but once you're out and running, nothing beats getting out for a few miles first thing: it absolutely sets you up for the day.
