Pools People

Another restless night, still tossing and turning at 3am. :-/ got off sometime after that, only to be woken up by the reversing beepers of a delivery for the builders nextdoor, followed by hammering at 8.05!

Light cloud early on, lead us to think it wasnt going to be quite as nice today....but by the time we finished breakfast, jumped in the car, heading West towards Crosby, we could see much more blue skies and sunshine.

Parked at the top of Marine Terrace, so a short walk to one of our very fav coffee stops, Crosby Coffee, which we were glad to see has reopened. As good as ever, sat outside, with a toasted bagel as well, almost perfect, just a pity its situated on a main,road, rather than down by the water :-/

Again we clocked up +10k steps, a lot of it on the beach working those calf muscles......lots of photos taken, but chose to share this one of the shimmering pools left behind by the receding tide, with Antony Gormleys Iron Men, and the odd real person too. When I first looked at this shot it made me think of Lowry and his little matchstick men.

Another day in shorts and tees......don't think I'll be wearing those tomorrow, seems as though its starting to cool down. In fact we have just had a short rain shower!

Dinner tonight was roast beef salad with fries for hub and a vegetable tagine with couscous for me. Tasty and pretty spicey too ;-)

An early night for me tonight I think......need to get rid of the sand from between my toes first though :-)))
