Too Much Monkey Business

An extremely socially distanced / Rule of 6 rehearsal for the pantomime today.
It’s very strange knowing we’re unlikely to have a full - or even half - cast rehearsal for the foreseeable future. But, then again, the likelihood of being able to actually perform in front of an audience is a fairly dim prospect at the moment. Still, the show must go on, as someone once said, so an enjoyable couple of hours was spent running through what scenes we could with those who were there.
Even got sight of the freshly written script for the first part of Act Two (we’ve had to rewrite quite a bit of the script to comply with current / anticipated Covid guidelines) and, once again, no opportunities have been missed for innuendo and in jokes! In fact, my title for this blip was chosen in that same spirit. If you’ve read (or written!) the script, you will know what I’m referring to. Everybody else needs to hope we can get to perform it at some point in the future. Come and see it, and all will make sense. Unless the script changes again, in which case it won’t! That’s show business!
