Remembering summer

I walked to the allotment before work so as to pick some fruit and veg before the wind and rain arrived.  The vines I inherited on my plot were left to grow to provide shade and are loaded with fruit.  I didn't expect the grapes to taste pleasant , however they are wonderful and sweet and such a treat to eat.  I've been enjoying them with breakfast or a mid morning snack. 

In other news, Andy was confused this morning to find Merlin stalking a whole fish buried head first in the middle of the dog walking field! Merlin was not sure what to make of it and neither was Andy.  We assume it was buried by a fox and had initially been dropped by a passing heron.

The rain is now pouring down so we have an evening planned of catching up with last night's episode of the GBBO along with baked potatoes for dinner!  Hope your day has been a good one.  Take care.
