Just landed
This morning I cleared the remains of the snow off the car, filled it up with lots of doggy paraphernalia plus a suitcase for me and set off en route to the south of England to spend half term with the grandchildren. As usual I am stopping half way in Lancashire to spend time with my sister and family. The dogs are exceptionally good travellers and the drive down was really enjoyable with light traffic and good weather.
We arrived in time for a quick walk on the beach at Fleetwood just in time to enjoy the last moments of the sun as it sent its golden rays across the tops of the still damp hummocks of sand.
This strange building has not just landed on the moon as it might appear, although that is the sun you can see disappearing below the horizon. It is in fact the new observation tower on Rossall Point and it is almost completed. I am sure there must be some interesting and sensible reasons for the building being this unusual shape but it does look a wee bit bizarre sticking out on the shore line on its own.
Thank you all for sending yesterday's dancing tree to the spotlight page for a bit.
