Toadstool / Mushroom

Mrs madwill and I went to The Yorkshire Arboretum (near Malton) today for a walk and look at the trees beginning to turn for autumn.

There were plenty of colourful leaves..see extra for some red..but for me the find of the day was this lovely toadstool (or mushroom). Such intense red and it was quite fresh...although it did have bits of grass stuck to it which I couldn’t poke off!

We did the usual visitor thing, coffee and cake when we got there then wandered back to the cafe  for a very late lunch (a very nice bacon, Brie and cranberry sandwich) before another walk about.

Stopped off at designer outlet to get a few bits and then to Sainsbury’s to get a ‘take away’ tea as were so late getting back.

Racked up 17K steps so far...
