Sun-Tipped Hills
Another dawn walk in the Wither Hills Farm Park this morning. I took my usual route up Quail Stream Valley and then up the zig-zag track to the twin water tanks.
The early sun was just touching the tips of the hills on the southern boundary of the Park. The views from that southern ridge are magnificent but alas, it would be very unwise to venture up there while the fire risk is so extreme....Sigh.. I will go there another day after significant rain.
We had rain on these hills last week, not enough to lessen the fire risk but enough to encourage some growth of fresh green grass as can be seen in the foreground of this image.
It constantly amazes me just what a difference some rain can make to the appearance of these dry dry hills.
