Ideal Homes

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

Today I accompanied Caro into Wellington to visit the ideal homes show. She told me the rules:

1. Don't make eye contact or people will try to sell you sh*t.
2. Pace yourself; there's a lot of ground to cover.

As it turns out, she was 100% right about the first part. Completely wrong about the second. Caro was very disappointed by the lack of stuff to look at. She wondered if covid had stopped some of the vendors from showing up.

She did manage to buy some Edinburgh Gin though. This is not a big deal to you lot, but she was very excited to see it over here. I felt like a jakey with my bottles and mini-bottles clinking away in my free Mitre-10 tote bag. Like I had betrayed the spirit of home reno or something.

However, because I am just lovely I accompanied Caro around two other furniture shops after the exhibition so she could satiate her need for home shopping. She did some reconnaissance for outside tables and indoor chairs. She didn't buy anything but she was happy that she got to look at some stuff.

And I was happy I got to park my airse in some stuff.

For the rest of the day we were back at home with the cats, watching "Gogglebox" and "Ratched". Caro was very happy and I was happy she was happy.
