On the ground

The weather was good so I took an hour at lunchtime and went to Orrell Water Park with "the beast". I was hoping to practise with birds in flight but they'd obviously had their lunch and were having a siesta, all the seagulls were pretending to be ducks.  I went to the feeding station and took a lot of the smaller birds on the feeders, although I didn't have much luck with those. It was low light and I was struggling to get the right exposure. I did manage this capture. 

When I returned to the car a few of the seagulls were in flight just above the trees. One seemed to have found something to eat in the tree and was doing a hummingbird impression - see extras.
