A bridge in time

When the London and North Eastern Railway of England and Scotland built their station here in Joppa there was an ornate footbridge with skilful craftsmanship. (It was "man" in those days.) When the line was electrified the bridge was removed and this metal box version was installed. I know which I prefer. The train approaching at speed is on its way to North Berwick. We were walking much more sedately on our afternoon constitutional.  We were pleased that it rained most of the day as it is filling up our new garden pond! Tiers of a different kind are being shed across England as it struggles with its messaging of the latest pandemic restrictions.
