Golden Brown

Turned up to the gym a bit early for our allocated slot, so amused myself by wandering around the grounds, trying to take a photo that sums up autumn. Played around with the various filters and editing tools available on iPhone and ended up going with what they refer to as “vivid warm”. Certainly seems to bring out the contrast, which was definitely needed as dusk was rapidly approaching.
It’s been a typically autumnal day today - still and cool with a general air that everything is starting to settle down for winter. Gave the lawn its last cut of the year whilst Mrs C planted some bulbs. Strange to think it’ll be another six months before we see the results of that planting and the lawnmower will be needed again.
But that sort of sums up how I feel about life at the moment. Everything has ground to a halt, there’s a constant threat in the air and it doesn’t look like there will be any sort of significant improvement until next spring. There’s a lot to be said for hibernation...
