Poppy Appeal

The poppy appeal has started now, and every year we donate loose change. Callum saves it from his everyday spending etc. But of course this year is quite different, most of his daily purchases have been done by contactless, so compared to last year, the total amount is well down.
It was just over £70 last year. I counted up today and it was about £32. 
When I cleared out mums old handbag a few months back I found £8 in that, so popped that in a bag for them.
We’ve added a note to this years donation, so not too far away from previous amount.
I went out this afternoon to fill up the car with petrol and get a few bits of shopping. Then called in to the local florist lady who was having a 3 day weekend pink raffle in aid of October Breast Cancer awareness, and bought some raffle tickets from her.
Chucking it down now with rain, a night for staying in and snuggling down with my doggies!
