Snowberry Harvest
Another day of bits and bobs; with an afternoon walk during a period of dry weather. This time we returned to Letcombe Regis and Letcombe Bassett.
We met a lady photographer at the watercress fields; wrapped in a warm coat and hoping to catch a glimpse of a kingfisher which she said is a frequent visitor. When we passed her again on our return she had a large number of inquisitive ducks, and a white heron, but sadly no kingfisher.
There seems to be a bumper harvest of these snowberries along the footpaths. I don't know if they are a predictor of the weather; but with these an the holly berries we could be in for a cold winter!
