Physical

I had a PT session booked for next Friday but, in view of the imminent lockdown we brought it forward to today.
Trainer suggested we do body weight related exercises, set a benchmark and then repeat after lockdown to see how much strength has been lost. And they are exercises I can do variations of at home, so no excuses for not being able to get close to this morning’s efforts in December!
Everything was done either until failure or until number of reps dropped below a certain level. After 200 press-ups, 87 pull ups and 90 leg presses, I was more than done in and happy to call it a day.
I’ll probably fit in one more visit to the gym tomorrow evening, before they close, and then it’ll be a case of just trying to stay active until everything reopens - hopefully in four weeks time.
I appreciate that not all gyms are equal and just because ours has always been fastidious about cleaning, others are less so and may not limit the numbers using the facility at any one time, thus creating a breeding ground for Covid. But I think there’s still more of a risk going shopping to the supermarket than working out in even the scruffiest gym! But, hey - I don’t make the rules, I just have to obey them, no matter how little sense they make.
