Election night in America

Well tonight is the night many have been waiting for. In America and around the world. The president seems to create strong feelings wherever he goes. So there are those who really want a change in leaders.

I personally would be surprised if he was re-elected, but Then again, I was quite surprised in 2016.

But this isn’t a political post, at least I don’t mean it to be.

I picked up this book by David Frum and I’m enjoying the insights he explores about America. He starts from the place where even if there is a change in presidents, (Which he clearly desires) there is still a very large part of the population who feel America has become a place where they no longer belong. And they are willing to do anything, even press the self destruct button to get their point across.

Mr. Frum writes to create a way for America to find its way back. Back to greatness. That seems to be a growing theme, from all sides. Americas greatness and how to get it back.

I’m not sure what it will take for them to find their way forward (or backward). But whatever happens tonight, it’ll take more than an election to set things right.
