Pumpkin decorating

We decorated pumpkins last week and had them outside the front of the house. The weather has been typical British autumn weather, wet, cold and even more wet. We went to light our candles in the pumpkins tonight and I found a visitor. I'm thinking he (or she) was having a nibble of the pumpkin whilst trying to stay out of the rain.

I lit the candle anyway and placed it as far away from the snail as I could. I like to think it was the equivalent of a roaring fire in the living room for that little snail.

Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, we shall never know.
