Village wander

Rather dull,and grey today, so decided to just have a wander around the village before calling at the post office.  Photos taken in the park where the pathways are almost completely covered with leaves now.  I found the painted rock near to the garden centre on Tuesday, so put it on the wall by the Memorial Hall for someone else to find and move on.  I think it is Barney Rubble’s wife Betty from the Flintstones.  I wonder if there are other painted rocks with Flintstone characters hidden around the village?  Heard from a friend who still works at the hospital in Infectious Diseases.  She had COVID-19 in March and was very poorly.  She has been taken ill again, and has once again tested positive.  She says her symptoms are entirely different this time, but she feels absolutely awful.  All the family are having to self isolate, and as she has 5 teenagers that is proving very unpopular! Another secretary I used to work with there is also very poorly.  Numbers in our villages are also rising, and I was told of 2 people in the village with it this week.  All getting a bit too close to home!
