Another Grey Morning

Thanks to James Taylor for a fitting title. Mostly gray and brisk but the sun did make a brief appearance this afternoon • The birds were busy today flying back and forth between the cherry and lilac trees to gather and eat as many seeds and nuts as possible: bluejays, chickadees, goldfinches, nuthatches, and this cutie, a tufted titmouse. After MrsP spotted Big Red this morning, I filled and placed two suet feeders outside to call him and the other woodies home • A quiet day otherwise, MrsP paid bills while I made a vegan corn chowder for dinner. Not sure if we’ll pair it with crusty bread or crackers but looking forward to a warm and cozy bowl or two • We’ll end our rousing Saturday night with a puzzle or DVD.
