Phantom horses

Took hours to get to sleep last night and felt like having a lie in when I awoke to rain beating on the window, but once I am awake I have to get up.
Police horses are exercised in pairs and often use the paths running behind our houses.  Somebody had spilt some white paint on the path and one of the horses must have walked hrough it, leaving these eerie hoof marks.  Looked quite spooky where they disappeared into the distance.
After a miserable morning the sun did put in a bit of a show  this afternoon.
I don't like dark wet days!
