Flashy Leaves

A random experiment - not an emergency as it was taken at 7:45 this morning!

It was damp and dull again and I tried photographing these leaves in ambient light - but they were moving too much for the slow shutter speed.

So I set a higher shutter speed, large aperture and turned on the flash….very pleased with the result. The trees in the background were too far away to register in the light so they have shown as black…. making the subject pop.

A tiny bit of cloning to remove a stray leaf at the bottom - and hey presto….
