Hello Mr Charcoal Burner

Mr P' is descended from a charcoal burner in the New Forest whose name was memorialised in 1100AD  because he ( the ancestor)  loaded the recently shot King William Rufus on to his cart and wheeled him to Winchester. There a stone in the New Forest to commemorate this event with the name of Mr P's ancestor.  As a result Mr P can't resist the opportunity for a chat with a charcoal burner. 
We were in Great Knott Wood with a mission to ascend Summer House Knott because Mr Wainwright visited the tower at the top even though he failed to list the hill in the definitive list of fells visited,. The tower was undergoing renovation work including a viewing platform so we'll come back when that's finished .  You get the charcoal burner today instead
