Pier Train

A rather lovely warm and sunny morning here in Essex, so we had a lovely little walk along part of Southend seafront to get some exercise!  We even ended up feeling like daytrippers as we discovered a little kiosk by the pier that was open for takeaway, so got cups of tea and a bag of chips which we sat and ate on a bench as we watched the tide roll in and it was blooming lovely! Will definitely be going back to them for chips in future!

Southend Pier is shut during lockdown so it seems they are doing some maintenance work as we did spot a bit of activity on the pier, including one of the trains going for a jaunt to the end!

All clouded over now this afternoon, so time to catch up on the 'normal' stuff!
