November Rain

After the brief glimpse of the sun yesterday, normal service has been resumed with rain from the start today. And with it getting dark again at 3.30, I was lucky to be able to get any sort of photo!
A day for doing absolutely nothing - and that’s pretty much what we did! When the highlight of the day is going to Asda to buy a cauliflower, you know that lockdown life is starting to get to you.
The computer continues to baffle and enrage me in equal measures - most long standing passwords remembered today but only two out of the three I re-input yesterday. Not a clue what’s going on so I guess I’ll just have to live with it until the next update either fixes the issue or wipes everything completely.
One bit of good news though - we might finally be one step nearer to finding a joiner to do the work on our house that was originally planned two years ago. Hopefully 2021 will be the year that those plans come to fruition.
Various rumours abound about what we may or may not be allowed to do at Christmas. If I read it right, it’s ok to see granny but not hug her or start an argument. And even if we are allowed to meet up under those conditions, there’s still a very good chance that we’ll infect granny and the rest of the family so will have to go back into lockdown for another few weeks. I can’t decide if we’re meant to be scared or grateful but don’t really care either way as, personally speaking, we will be spending Xmas the way we like it and the way we’ve spent it for the last few years - just the two of us!
