Playing hooky

Woke up before Audrey again so got a head start on my busy day before her little eyes even opened.

Mum and Dad arrived to look after her and I headed to a work meeting in Didsbury. Then it was on to Manchester Metropolitan where I'd been asked to present a guest lecture to the PR students. It went really well. My ambition is to do do some 'official' lecturing in a few years so any practice I get now really helps.

Even though my priority is with Audrey and my business, it's nice to be moving towards some life goals this year too.

Finished earlier than I'd thought I would and as the sun was shining and my car parking ticket had another hour left on it, I decided to play hooky from Audrey duties. I walked around Chinatown and the Northern Quarter in Manchester, got a coffee and enjoyed the break. I used to do some runs round the city centre when I lived there to keep fit, so I know a few little short cuts (see pic) by the canal. You can get from one side to the next so much quicker and it's a great way to see the city.
