Flu Jab

I had a flu jab, which made for a rather appropriate photo on the day when we received great news about the Oxford AstraZeneca Covid vaccine. There was never any guarantee it was going to work but the trials suggest it will be very effective. That's huge. On top of the earlier good news from the States about the new mRNA vaccines, it looks like we have a pathway out of the pandemic. The great thing about the more traditional Oxford vaccine is that it's cheap and easy to produce and deliver. We should be very thankful for the amazing science that's been undertaken this year to get us to this point.

It feels like the best news in a very long while.
