Outdoor playground

Between the horses fields and the road there is this wooded no man's land. T&E love playing in there (whilst I do all the poo picking) - it's like a large natural playground for them. There's lots of boulders and fallen logs in there for them to scramble over. Today they were trying to catch the leaves as they came down off the trees (and Toby was shooting his sister with his stick!).

This was after their riding lesson. They both did brilliantly today and Jack was a superstar. He seems really happy at the moment.

I rode Buddy this morning with Georgia and Kim. All three had a massive spook in the woods as there was a lady with a HUGE umbrella walking down the middle of the horse track. Not sure why as it wasn't even raining! The horses were properly freaked out by it and kept spinning round and trying to bolt. I think the lady was a bit shocked as she just stood there watching us struggle!. When I'd got control of Buddy again I asked her could she please close it and they all went passed, snorting and prancing. It took them a while to settle after that and Buddy was still steaming when we got back to the yard. Definitely need to take some more hair off!

Put the outside Christmas lights up this arvo. We're not the first in our village but much earlier than we normally do them. Think we all need a bit of extra sparkle at the moment!
