Village life

Almost without fail, when we walk along the canal, we see a couple of swans and their seven signets putting on the most incredible display in front of us. It's like their little training pool and the sight of them all spreading their wings and learning to fly is a pretty stunning sight. We never seem have a camera between us.

This morning I purposefully took my camera out on the canal walk but, inevitably, there wasn't a swan in sight.

So here's a picture of a washing machine in the village instead. It runs all year round, in any weather, and the washing liquid or fabric conditioner never seem to get stolen. That's village life for you.

Heading back to Shrewsbury today after a lovely lockdown at Groove. I'll miss the log fire (and the company, of course) but quite looking forward to catching up with my neighbours - on socially distanced walks, of course.
