llevo en el alma un camino destinao a nunca llegar
On Sunday we visited the rastro in La Latina, which was really cool. Loads of stalls, loads of people, although no shopping for me. Oh well. We came across a sort of urban park nearby that the local neighbours had put together with upcycled "furniture": wheelie bins turned into pots to plant trees in, old washing machine doors serving as windows, old stadium stands as um seats to watch local musicians perform free concerts...it was very chilled and very nice. I like creative spaces like that. The blip is from that.
Later on, we went for a pretty awful meal in a tapas place. Not good. It was all made better a bit later when we went for a stroll around mercado san miguel and even went to chocolatería san ginés (a legendary place in Madrid to get churros con chocolate - yum!) Chilled out in a really cool little café later on called el jardín secreto. I wish there were more nice cafés like that in London - less Starbucks/Costa/etc...more independent coffee shops I say!
This one's for being independent and creative then :)
