Redwing (picture changed)

The berries on both the holly in front and the one in the street behind us are disappearing at a rate of knots, and largely it's a flock of redwings that's doing it. 

Migratory and in the UK over winter, they roam the countryside. Red-listed, there are apparently only 8M or so, and at least a dozen of them are currently on our trees!

A disturbed night of rampaging night mares, opening onto a rainy day. Coffee has been applied in the usual doses, and the day begins better than I dreamt it.

I took the extra and uploaded it first, but took the new main picture and was persuaded to replace my original blip... good call?
