Sail On!

Took the yacht downtown today to avoid the Thursday traffic on the roads.

Moored up at the Golf Club on the creek and dined at the Boardwalk Restaurant adjoining the Club House.

Wind was a bit chilly so very pleased I remembered to take my pashmina. Not so GK...she only had her sleeveless fleece and wished she'd taken her longsleeved one.

Our friend Hilde, who arrived down from Oman on a fleeting visit, also found it cool but aclimatised quite quickly once the wine did what it was supposed to!

Dinner over...we headed back up the creek to the airport in full sail and made it in time for Hilde to catch the 10:20 Swiss Air flight back to Muscat, before turning the yacht homeward!!

Dream on, Dream on!!!!

Most of the story is true apart from the yacht!

You guessed it....we negotiated the horrendous Thursday traffic to spend time with our friend Hilde at dinner on the Boardwalk...then negotiated traffic again through to the airport before eventually heading for home, and making it back all in one piece!!!
