Teddy 2020!!
Actually "Steve" is over seven years old; he was a gift from friends for Child No.2 after a tobogganing accident resulted in a Lisfranc dislocation of the foot. However, my plans for 'slow decoration' for Christmas came to a halt when Steve dropped into my lap (literally). I couldn't ignore him.
The Lisfranc dislocation is named after Jacques Lisfranc de St. Martin a French surgeon who noticed the fracture pattern amongst cavalry men around the time of the Napoleonic Wars. In their cases it tended to result from falling from a horse with a foot trapped in one of the stirrups.
I will get back to decorating the house (slowly) tomorrow.
